From Mid October thru Late November The Charter Boat CONFUSION journeys to the offshore glacial limestone reefs of Lake Michigan for some of the finest Lake Trout, Brown Trout & Mixed Bag fishing of the year. Lakers are spawning this time of the year and are very aggressive to bite. On Full Day Charters we generally fish for Lake Trout & then go in search of Kings, Browns, Coho Salmon & Steelhead. This is one of my favorite times of the year. The weather can be interesting in the Fall & I recommend preparedness on what clothing to bring along. Check out my weather links, The CONFUSION is located in Waukegan Harbor (50 minutes north of Chicago) at this time of the year to be closer to the spawning reefs.

From Chicago:Exit the Tri-State Tollway (I-294) North or Route 41 at the Belvidere Street (Rte. 120) East/Right.
(For those driving from Milwaukee there is not an exit at Rte 120 on Southbound I-294 therefore exit Left on Rte 41 Southbound at the Illinois/Wisconsin Border) Go East on Rte 120 all the way to the lake (Pershing Street). Turn Left (North) on Pershing. Go down Ramp on Pershing to the 2nd stop sign (Clayton Street). Turn Right (East) on Clayton. Go East on Clayton towards Waukegan Harbor Yacht Club lot (Seawall). There is plenty of parking in the lot just to the North of the club. Please do not park in the Club parking lot.

The Charter Boat CONFUSION fishes on Lake Michigan in a large variety of sea & weather conditions. There is no need to cancel the trip under most scenarios. The boat is a very sea worthy vessel and combined with the captain’s knowledge of the waters, will provide for an enjoyable & safe experience whenever leaving the harbor.
